Best known for its long running Might and Magic role-playing series, New World has since created the offshoot Heroes of Might and Magic turn-based strategy series, which has nearly eclipsed its role-playing progenitor with the sheer amount of critical and popular acclaim it's earned. It's no coincidence - the Heroes formula is one of the most brilliant strategy game designs ever conceived, with its careful blend of micro- and macromanagement within a distinctive fantasy setting. The turn-based gameplay has you recruiting mercenary heroes, whom you then guide about an overhead map jam-packed with resources, treasure, magical artifacts, mysterious landmarks, monsters, and more. Using the resources your heroes acquire, you augment your towns so that they can produce more powerful units, or still more resources. Meanwhile your heroes gain experience, skills, and spells, and you put them in command of the largest armies that you can afford in an ultimate effort to defeat the enemy mercenaries looking to conquer you first.

Install Procedure
1. Open HJsplit and click on Join, the popup window that opens, browse to the folder containing the downloaded files. Click on the HoMM3.rar.001 file.

2. After the joining has completed, you will get a HoMM3.rar file. Extract this file using WinRAR or WinZip as you like. You can get HJsplit here

2a. Alternately if you have 7zip, use that to extract the files. The program automatically joins and then extracts your files. You can get 7zip here

3. Please copy and paste the password "messiah" when prompted for the password.

4. Go to the directory HoMM3 in the unzipped archive

5. click on HMM3Inst.

6. This action automatically extracts the file to your C directory and places a desktop icon for the game starter on your desktop.

7. click on the game icon to play!


PS: If you have problems with decompressing any of my .rar files, keep in mind that they all have RAR Recovery Support. Simply open WinRAR and find the damaged .rar file, right-click and choose "Repair Archive." Voila! You're done!
